These terms of use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Sowly mobile app, dedicated to tracking and voluntarily reducing meat consumption. By creating an account, you accept these Terms in full.
Sowly automatically creates an anonymous account tied to your device as soon as you open the app, with no email or password to set up. This account cannot be recovered if you uninstall the app or switch devices — all associated data is then permanently lost. The app is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Sowly offers a self-reported tracking tool (you log your own meals) and impact estimates (CO₂, water, animals, budget) calculated from public averages. These figures are orders of magnitude, not precise measurements of your individual situation. The health-related content shown in the app summarizes scientific publications for informational purposes and is in no way medical advice, a diagnosis, or a prescription — consult a healthcare professional for any personal question.
Sowly offers 14 days of full, free access when you create your account, no card required if you choose not to subscribe right away. If you pick a plan at sign-up, those same 14 days are free before automatic billing starts. After that, a paid subscription (monthly or annual) is required to keep using the app. Subscriptions are managed exclusively through the App Store (Apple) payment system, billed to your Apple ID, and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24h before the end of the current period, directly from your Apple account settings. Sowly never has access to any banking data.
The app, its brand, design and content (recipes, text, illustrations) are the property of Sowly's publisher or its licensors. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete my account). This action is permanent and results in the erasure of all your associated personal data. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an ongoing Apple subscription: remember to cancel it separately from your iPhone settings if needed.
Sowly is provided "as is". The publisher does not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and cannot be held liable for decisions made solely on the basis of the estimates shown in the app.
These Terms may be updated; the version in force is always the one accessible in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
