Sowly's publisher is responsible for processing the personal data described below. Contact: thibaultdescombes@gmail.com
No email or password: the app creates an anonymous account identifier tied to your device, which cannot be recovered if you uninstall the app or switch devices. First name (optional). Tracking data you enter yourself: logged meals, goal, onboarding answers, recipes viewed, usage events related to challenges and badges. Internal usage statistics linked to your anonymous identifier: onboarding screens viewed, display of the subscription screen and actions taken on it, app version and date of last opening. No medical health data is collected: logged meals are simply a category you choose (vegetarian, vegan, fish, meat).
This data is used to run the app: showing your personal stats, calculating your impact estimates, managing your subscription, and sending the notifications you have enabled. Usage statistics are also used to understand where users run into difficulties and to improve the app; they are analysed by the publisher only, with no third-party analytics tool. They are never used for advertising purposes or to track you across other apps or websites.
Processing is based on the performance of the contract binding you to Sowly (providing the service you requested), on our legitimate interest in improving the app for usage statistics and, for notifications, on your explicit consent — which you can withdraw at any time from your profile.
Data is hosted with Supabase, within the European Union. Generating personalized recipe suggestions occasionally calls Anthropic's API (only the ingredients you select, never your account data). Subscription management goes through Apple and RevenueCat for access syncing. No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. It is fully and permanently deleted as soon as you delete your account from the app, with no retention delay. Since the account is anonymous and tied to your device, uninstalling the app also immediately and irreversibly deletes all associated data.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can exercise these rights directly in the app (editing your answers, deleting your account) or by writing to thibaultdescombes@gmail.com. You can also file a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — cnil.fr).
Sowly uses no third-party advertising trackers and shares no data for cross-app advertising tracking purposes. No App Tracking Transparency request is therefore shown to you.
Access to your data is protected by database-level security rules (each account can only see its own data) and by encryption of exchanges (HTTPS/TLS).
